Tie-dye fashion must-haves from ethical brands
Tie-dye is back and better than ever! I have to admit that I was slow to jump on the tie-dye bandwagon. After seeing it literally everywhere I looked, I finally accepted how cute it actually is! Better late than never. I am always slow to accept new trends into my life – except for the wearing-yoga-pants-as-if-they-were-real-pants trend, I jumped on that real quick!
I wanted to dabble in the tie-dye fashion realm so I went on the hunt. Man, was I blown away by the plethora of ethical fashion brands with tie-dye goodies. I found brands that are tieing and dying like pros as well as some brands with trendy basics. I am sure as the trend continues to gain popularity we will be seeing more and more tie-dye fashion masterpieces. Here are seven ethical brands that offer tie-die must-haves!
Riverside Tool & Dye
Riverside Tool & Dye is THE spot to join the tie-dye wearers club. They have tie-dye everything! Drinking game idea – every time you read the word tie-dye, take a shot. You’ll be having a grand ole’ time by the third paragraph 🙂 By the end of this post, your drunk self will have boughten you a whole new wardrobe consisting of everything tie-dye. You’re welcome!
In all seriousness, if you are looking to replace your wardrobe with their tie-dye counterparts, Riverside Tool & Dye is the place for you. They create hand-dyed/painted everything from home goods to all types of clothing and accessories for men and women.
Yes And is a GOTS-certified brand that has an entire tie-dye section. (Check out my post here about ethical fashion certifications for more on GOTS). As well as creating tie-dye go-to’s with certified organic cotton, Yes and also use low impact dyes and inks which are more environmentally friendly.
Jungmaven has a line of tie-dye shirts that are 100% hemp and dyed with natural dye from ‘plant matter, botanicals, natural extracts, spices, and foraged materials.’ They even have tie-dye bedding if you’re wanting to give your bedroom a tie-dye makeover!
Thread & Supply
Thread & Supply has a lot of cute tie-dye options. Check out the product details prior to purchasing as not all of their items consist of the most eco-friendly materials. Just look for Tencel or 100% organic cotton in the details like the shirt and dress above.
Sueno creates ethereal, feminine silk dresses and bedding that have been hand-dyed. Sueno also uses botanicals to dye some of their garments. The brand is pretty pricy but if you are looking to splurge on yourself or looking for a really nice gift, Sueno makes beautifully dyed one-of-a-kind pieces.
Marine Layer comin’ in with the barely-there tie-dye vibes and I am lovin’ it! Marine Layer has a couple of must-have tie-dye pieces that are made with cotton and Tencel.
Reformation has a couple cute, comfy tie-dye outfits. Several color options for the hoodies and lounge shorts. ‘Pistachio Tornado’ is the name of the green color above – is that not the cutest name ever! There is also a long and short sleeve tee available that are pretty inexpensive.
Happy Tie-Dye Shopping!
Have you accepted the tie-dye trend into your heart and closet? I have seen a lot of people try and make their own tie-dye at home. It sounds like a fun idea, but all I can envision is my washing machine stained blue. Thanks for reading and I hope you found a few tie-dye must-haves!This blog post may contain affiliate links.
