My week of outfits | October 12 – 18.

This week started out with a tropical depression. Don’t know what that is? The southwesterner in me didn’t know what that was either. Basically, it means a baby hurricane. Along with lots of wind and rain, the baby hurricane brought with it a heatwave with a large dose of humidity… yay.

So, needless to say this week started with a few summer/early fall vibes outfits, cool and breezy. As well as a baby hurricane, this week brought with it every appointment, meeting, start date, due date, deadline, and everything in between. I normally don’t have too much going on, but everything seemed to fall onto this week… cool, cool, cool universe.

This week on my Instagram I paired each of my outfits with one of the bags from my The Perfect Fall Bag post. Head over to my ‘Look Book’ highlight for all of the Fall bag looks and more outfit inspo!

I am a work in progress. My closet is not 100% ethical and sustainable clothing, yet! That is definitely my goal, but I also think it would be irresponsible to get rid of the clothes I already have from my pre-ethical shopping days. For any piece that is not from an ethical, sustainable brand (or out of stock 🙁 ), I will link a similar option that is!

Monday

Monday was a very exciting day for me! Not a statement I usually say, but this Monday was my last day of Invisalign!! While spending three hours at the dentist is not something I normally look forward to, it was definitely worth it to finally have a straighter, whiter smile!

Starting with my go-to bag, the Madewell Zip-Top Transport Crossbody bag! A summer-ish outfit with Fall accents – you’re not stealing my Fall vibes, heatwave!

Tuesday

I love these jean shorts from Madewell. They are currently on sale right now for under $40! What I love about these shorts is they are their ‘curvy’ cut. So, those of us with a little fuller hips and bums appreciate the extra roominess around of thighs!

Wednesday

You have no idea how impatiently I have been waiting for Fall so that I can wear this dress! I seriously love everything about this corduroy overall dress, aside from the fact that it is too big. You can’t see it but I have a chip clip cinching it in on my back! Head over to ‘try ons’ highlight on my Instagram to see that hilariousness!

I bought this dress in the summer when it was on a clearance sale. It was such a good deal that I couldn’t pass it up and even with the cost of altering it, I still paid less than full price! Shopping Hack: shop clearance and if you find something you can’t live without, but it’s not in the right size, have it altered!

Friday

I got this cardigan coat last Winter from the thrift store. It’s is cute, lightweight, and great for layering once it starts to get really cold! The dark denim is from Sezane. I actually had someone come up to me in a coffee shop and ask me where these jeans were from. So, be prepared to get lots of compliments if you decide to purchase these!

Warning: they are not flexible, stretchy denim. They are are thicker, heavy duty denim, which is definitely one of the things I like about them but there is definitely a breaking in period for these jeans.

Saturday

From mini skirts to beanies, we have experienced an array of temperatures this week. Started this morning off with a little Starbucks before running some errands!

Happy Shopping!

I hope you all had a great week and have an even better weekend! Is it getting cold where you live or are you still have some heat waves come through like we are? Thanks for reading and don’t forget to check out my Instagram for all of the Fall bags I paired with this week’s outfits!
