Harper Wilde Bras | Essentials Bundle review

Sup, bra?

Okay, a little bra pun was absolutely in order for the review of Harper Wilde’s essentials bundle bra collection. Your go-to shop for bra essentials with a cup full of witty bra puns, that is Harper Wilde.

Spending my young adulthood stuck in Victoria’s Secret’s web of buying insanely expensive bras and underthings that didn’t actually fit or last, I was becoming more and more interested in broadening my underwire horizons.

Fast forward through the years of other bra brand fails to the beginning of this year when I made my first Harper Wilde purchase. I purchased The Base and it quickly became the most reached for bra in my collection. I loved it so much that it inspired me to finally get rid of all of those uncomfortable and, let’s be real, unworn bras taking up space in my dresser.

But before we get into the bra review, who is Harper Wilde?

Harper Wilde Who?

Harper Wilde is an online store delivering high-quality, fairly priced bras while empowering women or “lifting up the ladies” as they say. Designed for comfort they have a selection of six bras and bundles along with their Wilde Things that include some pun-tastic brand merch.

Community Reach

Empowering women and education is the heart of Harper Wilde’s mission. Named after the female authors of To Kill a Mockingbird and Little House on the Prairie. Harper Wilde donates 1% of their proceeds to Girls Inc as well as other organizations that focus on empowering women.

Recycle, Bra

Harper Wilde created the industry’s first bra recycling program, Recycle, Bra! Again with the witty bra repartee… well done HW, well done. The delivery box doubles as a recycling kit. Once you receive your Harper Wilde order, tag your old bras with the stickers provided, download your return label from the website, and send it off.

Essentials Bundle | The Bras

color Beige

If you are wanting to try out a wide variety of Harper Wilde bras, the essentials bundle is for you. The essentials bundle includes four of the six styles available, The Base, The Bliss, The Flex, and The Move. The bundle comes in four color options, three nudes, and a black. This bundle is $150.

The Base

The Base is a lightly-lined bra with an underwire that offers full-coverage and everyday comfort. As I said before, this is the first bra I purchased from Harper Wilde that made me fall head over heels for this brand. It is the perfect staple bra everyone needs in their collection.

The sizes available for The Base are 32-42 band sizes and A-F cup sizes. I usually wear a 34 B and that is what I ordered. If I am slouching (and for the record, I have terrible posture and am a hardcore sloucher), the cups tend to flare out a bit, and the straps occasionally fall, but I have found that to be the case with every bra I have worn.

I would say The Base fits true to size. The material is so soft and smooth making it very comfortable to wear. The shape of the cups is very flattering and looks great under all my clothes.

The Base on it’s own is $40.

The Bliss

The Bliss, very aptly named, is a wireless bralette with no cups or padding. This bralette is absolutely heavenly to wear. It is so soft and comfortable and provides the right amount of support while giving the wearer the illusion of wearing nothing. It is by far my favorite bra in the collection.

The sizes available for The Bliss are XS-3XL. Again I am a 34B and it was recommended that I order the medium and it fits perfectly. The v-neck front and back design is functional and flattering and the wider straps ensure no strap slippage.

For the rest of my life, if I could only wear one bra, it would be this one. The bra looks great under tops and tanks that have wider straps, but if you’re wearing a spaghetti strap tank or a low v-neck shirt, then this wouldn’t work.

The Bliss on it’s own is $45.

The Flex

The Flex is Harper Wilde’s everyday strapless bra and does come with a pair of removable straps. This bra is said to be designed with light padding for lift and no-slip material. When I first tried on this bra, I wasn’t too keen on it. It felt like too much padding for me, someone who rarely wears padded bras, and I wasn’t sold on the shape.

However, after wearing this bra for a full day wear test, my feelings changed. The fact that I wore this bra for a full day says a lot in itself. I am the girl who only wears a strapless bra when the occasion demands it and immediately rips it off after said occasions usually on the car ride home.

I wore this bra all day and was comfortable all day. It stayed in place, I didn’t feel suffocated, and I didn’t feel the need to constantly adjust my boobage. Is this bra as comfortable as The Bliss? No. Is this the most comfortable strapless bra I’ve worn? Yes!

The sizing available is the same as with The Base, band sizes 32-42 and cup sizes A-F. It says the cups run small and advises to order one cup size up, however; I ordered my normal size and it fits as it should.

The Flex on it’s own is $40.

The Move

The Move is the sports bra. It offers medium support during exercise activity and has a handy little pocket on the back band. It is comfortable enough during exercise, however; I would not want to wear it all day long. The pocket is a nice addition but could potentially be a little awkward trying to get your keys or cards in and out of.

The Move is available is sizes XS-3XL. I ordered the medium and it is a little snug which makes sense as it is a compression-style sports bra. It is a good medium coverage sports bra to wear during exercise but as for lounging, I would rather wear The Bliss.

The Move comes in a white color option that the other bras don’t. This is only available if bought individually. I do not believe you can order that color in the bundle package.

The Move on it’s own is $45.

Is It Essential?

The Essentials Bundle comes with every bra style you could need! You have a strapless dress to wear? Covered. Rocking your favorite vintage tee? Covered. Going for a run? Covered. Don’t feel like wearing a bra, but need to look like you’re wearing a bra? That’s right, covered!

I really appreciate the size and color inclusivity. There is a nude for every skin tone. The only negative I would say is that you cannot mix and match colors in this bundle. You can’t order a black sports bra and a nude strapless, you have to order the same color for all styles. You save $20 when buying the bundle instead of purchasing them all individually.

I am happy with all of the bras in this bundle! So happy in fact that I packed up all my old bras (except for one other bralette) and am sending them off to be recycled, bra!

Happy Shopping!

These sounds like some great bras. I love that they have a bra recycling program. I’ll have to look into buying a bundle for myself.
