18 Small Businesses to Support
We are living in a pretty crazy time right now. I have been having a hard time processing the magnitude of COVID-19 and the impact it is having on the world. I sort of feel like I am in a daze and the world is continuing on around me but in 10x speed.
People are taking to social media, blogs, YouTube, and Netflix, etc for a break and distraction from the heaviness going on around us. That is what I hope my post offers you today. A fun distraction as well as a guide to help support small businesses if you are so able.
The following small businesses are some that I have purchased from, some that are new to me, and others that I have been following for a while and have my eye on their products. I sincerely hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy at home. Let’s continue to support each other.
Jewelry & Bags
Hannah Naomi is an online handcrafted jewelry studio based in Portland, Oregon. They design elegant, minimalistic jewelry at affordable prices. I love and have been wearing their gold, ultra-thin stacking rings for several months now. If you an into dainty, beautiful jewelry, this is the shop for you. All of their jewelry is beautiful but I am obsessed with all of their ring designs!
Miyu & Wolfe
Miyu & Wolfe is an online shop selling jewelry and home goods from ethical and sustainable brands. Their jewelry is beautiful and they have some really cute sustainable wrapping paper and cards.
Gonics Bali makes handcrafted, artisanal rattan bags from Bali. They have several different purse and clutch designs and are very reasonably priced.
Elliott Clothing offers small production, sustainable women’s clothing online. They have a feminine style with varying textures and silhouettes. They are about to launch their new Spring line!
Linen Handmade Studio
I have talked about Linen Handmade Studio before in my post about spring skirts. They make gorgeous handmade linen clothing for women. They have so many different styles and color options available.
Dandelion Post is a boutique that sells clothing and accessories from local, sustainable brands. They have some really unique clothing and have some beauty items too. Their clothes are on the more expensive side, however, I would definitely check out their sale section because they have a lot of cute stuff for a really good deal.
Home + Decor
Bonmatin Pottery is an Etsy shop making pottery in Quebec, Canada. I really love the style and colors of the oil and vinegar cruets.
Archana Arts and Crafts
If you are looking for bohemian style pillow decor, look no further. Archana Arts and Crafts is an Etsy shop based in India producing pillows, throws, and rungs. I really love their pillow covers. They are unique and incorporate beautiful colors and different textures.
Flesh & Blooms
Flesh & Blooms is an Etsy shop selling concrete planters and various household items from Kansas City, Missouri. I love the modern, minimalistic style.
There are three print shops that I love from Etsy. I am not going to go into much detail, just going to let the beautiful art do the talking (um…writing?) for me.
How adorable are these baby octopus creations!?! They are handcrafted in Canada and have crochet sensory tentacles that are supposed to mimic the umbilical cord for your baby. This would also make a great baby gift for your mom-to-be friends.
littleROO Collective is an online shop that carries handmade waffle knit blankets, teethers, pacifier clips, and more. There is a personalization option for the blankets. This would make a very special baby gift.
Campbell’s Custom Carvings
Campbell’s Custom Carvings is a husband and wife team creating and selling wooden toys and nursery decor on Etsy.
Little Pine Company
Little Pine Company is a personalized hand-embroidery. The shop is currently closed as customs is closed. However, if you are interested in this shop, you can still show support by joining the waitlist or following on Instagram until they reopen. Her creations are so cute and special. They even sell kits and do workshops if you are looking for a new hobby.
Modern Companion offers stylish scarves, bandanas, and collars for the furry little member of your family. The prints are cute but not cheesy. You can even buy a matching headband so you and your dog can match. They also make some apparel for humans.
Davie & Chiyo
Davie & Chiyo is where I got my bridal accessories. They make absolutely stunning bridal pieces at, I think, very reasonable prices. They have everything from hair accessories, jewelry, belts, and garters.
I hope you found some new businesses that you can love and support during this time. Even if you are unable to purchase from these businesses right now, you can still show your support in other ways. You can subscribe to their e-mail lists or follow and interact with them on social media.
